Little Mountain by Holborn

Since 2009, Holborn Properties has listened to the feedback from the community and has come up with a balanced plan to create a complete community for the Little Mountain site. The 15.2 acre site would contain a variety of building types, open public spaces and a range of public amenities including:

The proposed plan by Holborn Properties includes building approximately 1,400 units of market residential and 234 units of social housing ranging in sizes which will attract a diverse mix of residents including seniors and entry-level first-time buyers. The benefits of the plan include:

-New homes in a centrally located Vancouver neighbourhood, close to public transportation

-A mix of building types ranging in height with features that will meet LEED Gold requirements (LEED buildings are built to high sustainability, environmental and health standards)

-New vibrant community with amenities such as a 69-space child care facility and a larger Little Mountain Neighbourhood House that will provide a range of community services to the area

-A village square at 37th and Main with unique shopping and services with new employment opportunities and a place for people to meet and exchange ideas

-Green and open spaces for children to play

-Retention of heritage trees and the planting of more than 400 new trees to create a natural environment

-Upgrades to traffic signals and improvements to the existing bike route on Ontario St.

The construction of the Little Mountain project will create not only construction- related jobs but also overall economic benefits for the community
