Tips for selling

  • Depersonalize and remove clutter - By the time you’re ready to list, it’s time to treat your home like a commodity. Buyers want to envision their lives in the space, so move photos, unnecessary clutter, and extra furniture into storage to help your home stand out from the competition!
  • Curb Appeal - It’s the first impression a buyer has when they pull up out front. Make sure the exterior looks great. Mow the lawn, maintain the bushes & shrubs, and add some colour to the garden!
  • Keep the outside clean - Don’t give buyers any opportunity to question the maintenance on the interior with a sloppy exterior. Organize exterior areas, pressure wash or even paint the exterior if needed, and clean those gutters!
  • Upkeep - Can be as small as burnt out lights, and sticky doors to larger issues like a leaky roof, make the repairs so you don’t discourage a potential buyer
  • Organize closets and cabinets - Make it easier for buyers to picture themselves in the space by keeping storage areas clean and organized
  • Have a welcome mat - Make that potential buyer already feel at home
  • Make your home shine - From floors to window blinds and everything in between, make it glisten! Make sure you remove any unwanted odours and invite purchasers in with the smell of flowers or something baking in the oven
  • Colours - Keep it neutral, just because your favourite colour is mustard yellow doesn’t mean it’s your prospective buyers. Keep colours cool and calm!
